Once again Georgia State Parks did not let us down. The area is beautiful and quiet. Lots of oak trees with Spanish Moss hanging from them. The only problem is that the bath house was on the old side and needs a facelift. Saw a gator swimming around the spring area. Nice park.

This was our first trip pulling the camper to the Great Smoky Mountains and were a bit nervous about finding a decent park open this late in the year. We found this park on rvparkreviews.com and could not have been more pleased. The previous reviewers were spot on in their description on how friendly the staff is. We had arrived after dark and the sons of the owners guided me into my lot. You do not see that kind of service often. Even this late in the year there were organized activities for the entire family. The sites are mostly along a fast moving creek that would have been wonderful to listen to at night had it not been so cold out. 20 degrees is a bit too cold to leave the windows open. Each lot has enough room for a slide and awning with room to spare. The campground is only 15 miles from Gatlinburg which made it convenient to commute to town. We will definitely be back.

If you are wanting a campsite on the ocean this is the place for you. All of the sites are a bit close, but not as bad as some I have seen in the past. Just a short walk over the dunes and you are on the beach. Staff was wonderful and very helpful. The only area that could use some improvement is the WiFi. It is only in the office. Park was very quite in the evenings and is a place that we will be visiting again!

Nice park. Large shaded campsites. We visit Georgia State parks often and have never been dissappointed.

Many of the sites are surrounded by trees, which lends to great privacy and a nice woodsy feel. Despite being here in the summer we did not have a bit of trouble with mosquitos or other biting insects. The restrooms and grounds were very well maintained. The only drawback was the need for more garbage cans and a second dump station. We had to wait in line for almost an hour, since they only have one station. We would definitely camp here again.

All I can say about this place is WOW! Nice grounds and the sites are very well kept and landscaped. Hosts are so friendly and helpful. They make you feel like old returning friends even if it is your first visit. In response to some of the previous reviews commenting on the steepness of the road to the campground, the road was no where near as steep as some of the interstate hills. We had no problem whatsoever pulling up their drive.

Sites were fairly level but were very close together. Staff was friendly and helpful. This is a good overnight campground even though we stayed here for 3 nights. If you happen to stay here while it is raining AVOID site #55. This is where we stayed and all the rain that falls on the upper end of the park seems to funnel it's way to the creek via site #55 which remained wet with standing water the entire time we were there.

As with all of the Georgia State Parks we have camped in this one did not let us down. Surrounded by some of the most breathtaking views we have ever seen, Cloudland Canyon is one of Georgia's natural wonders. The camp sites are spacious and well shaded. Several friends and I who are also "cavers" such as myself used the park as our home base while we explored some of the areas cave systems. Although there is no sewage on each site, there are however many conventiently located grey water dump stations located throughout.
